President George W. Bush Calls Mike Ilitch 'A Patriot' At Celebration Of Life in Detroit

"Mike understood that hard work was necessary to succeed in our country."

President George W. Bush spoke at Mike Ilitch's celebration of life in Detroit on Wednesday. Mr. Bush called Ilitch a patriot, and had some fun at his late friend's expense.

"He loved the Red Wings, and they were mighty. He loved the Tigers, and they weren't so mighty. Of course the Texas Rangers never won anything anyway," Bush said. He ended his beautiful speech by saying, "maybe someday, Siri will get smart. And when someone dials it up and they say, "name a Patriot?" Siri says Mike Ilitch!"
