New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees joins Steve Gorman SPORTS! to give an inside look into training camp and to give a preview of the upcoming season.

Jeffrey: "What would you say to upcoming players like Johnny Manziel about handling the hype of entering the NFL?"

Drew Brees: "Well, especially as a young player with so much hype surrounding him, I don’t know that I’ve seen a player with so much hype surrounding him since maybe Reggie Bush. And I was on the team in ‘06 when we drafted Reggie Bush with the Saints. You know, it’s very easy to have distractions come your way. You just have a lot of things thrown at you. So at the end of the day, you’ve got to ask yourself, “What am I trying to be? Am I trying to be a great football player?” And if so, then it becomes all about football. It becomes all about learning as much as you can, just being a sponge, preparing as best as you can. It’s not easy. Johnny Football makes it look easy a lot of times, but it’s not easy, you know? The game only gets tougher at this level and you’re going to go through your fair share of growing pains just like everybody does. You just got to be in position to handle sometimes the failures just like the success. And that’s with you know, modesty and humility and always with that hunger to learn more."
